Nature v nurture? Please don't ask - Times Online →
“Nature works through nurture, and nurture through nature, to shape our personalities, aptitudes, health and behaviour. The question should not be which is the dominant influence, but how they fit together.”
About bloody time. Critical theory has been saying this for decades.

GOB: Nothing works in this house.
Michael: Tell me about it.

GOB: Probably.
Lindsay: Because for your information, I've got a job.
Michael: Really! What kind of job?
Lindsay: Beads.
GOB: Bees??
Lindsay: BEA-D-S.
GOB: Beads!?

Cuddy: Are you high?
House: If it’s Tuesday, I’m wasted.

Welcome to RTÉ Storyland →
Is it wrong, that I am an American, participating in Irish TV contests? If so, it would make it wronger for me to convince others to do the same. Ah well.
Even wronger would be, I suppose, saying: Vote for Chez Spuds.
Five months ago the call went out for new and established programme makers with exciting ideas to take part in a unique web drama competition.
The talented finalists have produced...

The opening for part 2 is brilliant, and not just for the lovely cleavage shot.
And the musical numbers at 2:30 and 3:00, ooh la la.
“Remember we retired?” Thank you for calling attention to your own torturous ridiculousness, my beloved Jen and Dawn.
Part 1 is good, too (especially the musical number at 3:25).

Wilson: I never bother to wash new clothes before I wear them.
House: Right, your wife does. She wants you to feel nice and comfortable.
Wilson: Hey! I’m a man. I don’t have time for laundry; I’m saving lives here. No, she doesn’t wash them either.
House: So your skin absorbs a little dye, the odd chemical here and there…
Wilson: Well, you know me. Always living on the edge.

A Dublin-based newspaper has received a call supposedly from the Real IRA which claimed responsibility for the attack at Masserene army base. Using a recognised codename, it claimed responsibility for the attack in which two soldiers were killed. Four other people, including two pizza delivery men, were also injured when gunmen struck at the Antrim base.

Chances are good you’ve seen Michael Moschen at work and didn’t even know it. Often imitated, never duplicated, the world-renowned physical artist choreographed and performed all of Jareth the Goblin King’s “crystal ball manipulations” in Labyrinth.
The phrase contact juggling hadn’t even been coined yet. Moschen was working blind, crouched down behind Bowie, and those spheres really were made...

A bit of Fry & Laurie
Fry: Just a moment. If you're deaf, how can you hear what I'm saying?
Laurie: I can lipread sir.
Fry: Lipread? But you're blind!
Laurie: Pardon?
Fry: How can you read my lips if you're blind?
Laurie: It's because I'm deaf, sir, that my sense of vision is naturally enhanced. Blind people have been known to have very keen hearing. So they sort of cancel each other out.
Fry: You mean you can see and hear perfectly?
Laurie: Yes. Because I'm blind and deaf. One miraculously compensates for the other.
